Cause of Traffic Jams
Yup, that's right. And that had been proven by a few mathematicians in Universities of Exeter, Bristol and Budapest.
It was said that once a car on a full road breaks, a wave of braking will be created and amplified as it goes down the road. Some called it the "accordion effect", some call it the "backward travelling wave", I call it the "@#$%^&* you Idiot" theory.
The braking effect is amplified by drivers who leaves small distances between their car and the car in front and therefore requires harder braking to avoid collision. Dr. Gábor Orosz of the University of Exeter's School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, said: "As many of us prepare to travel long distances to see family and friends over Christmas, we're likely to experience the frustration of getting stuck in a traffic jam that seems to have no cause. Our model shows that overreaction of a single driver can have enormous impact on the rest of the traffic, leading to massive delays." He continued: "When you tap your brake, the traffic may come to a full stand-still several miles behind you. It really matters how hard you brake - a slight braking from a driver who has identified a problem early will allow the traffic flow to remain smooth. Heavier braking, usually caused by a driver reacting late to a problem, can affect traffic flow for many miles." Quoted off this statement
Conclusion? Don't stick so damn close and HECK WOMAN! STOP HITTING THE BRAKES SO DAMN HARD WHEN THERE'S HELLOTTA SPACE IN FRONT!
=D Have a nice holiday. New Year's just around the corner and I hope none got crushed in the Boxing Day war.

Engineering
When the Information Commons is filled with people during the day, and after nightfalls.
The period where assignment deadlines are just around the corner and some even falls on the same date.
Burning the midnight oil is common during this period and caffeine is pumped into the body so regularly the eye turns red.
When after all the assignments, you realise this is not stopping as exams are just around the corner.
The university had finally progressed into this deadliest period of every semester. Welcome, to engineering.

2 Years
How I had regretted not spending time with the family two years ago. Times where I'd just stay in Subang plainly because I was just too lazy for that mere 15 minutes drive. Time where I stayed in the hotel room even though it was a family trip to get the family together. And who'd had guess that will be the last trip ever made, with you. Forgive my stupidity and ignorance. Had never been able to forgive myself. Will never be able to..
People go. But memories remain..
Am missing you.. Had always been..

Melaka
(Malacca=Asshole in greek.. You think Parameswara knows greek when he saw the mouse deer kicking the dog into the river?)
Objective: Food and historical monuments. Obviously spending time with her as well.
Huge note! Not to go there on a Monday. Failed to get satay celup as all of them, I MEANT ALL 3 of them that we seek for were closed! Hainanese Coffee shop chose to rest for the week just so when we were there. Nyonya shop was close as well.. -_-
Departed from Subang at 0730. Being a typical me, had nothing planned in mind, no idea whatsoever what to do and where to go. This Girl had everything planned out instead.
Destination reached at 1000 with occasiona rest stops and a map purchase.
First food on the list: Duck noodles.
Decided to head for coffee but to find it closed as well.
Next stop, the A Famosa. Where we monkeyed around and She got her shoppings done in Jonker. The place where we were supposed to go for Nyonya food but failed as Donald and Lily's were closed as well.
Walked around with a map in hand looking for the satay celup to find it closed, too. Found a place for nyonya cendol.
Rating 6/10. Like their deco in the shop, display of antique beer and spirit bottles. Nicely done. Met a British couple who suffered from heat stroke and came in for some beer there. It was their last few days there in Malaysia and they would be heading back to the UK just a day after my flight. Couldn't remember where they were from though.
Apparently the husband of the lady who was mending the stall was a Masters student from Sheffield. Had a bit of a chat and found out both she and her husband were retired teachers.. Heh.
Headed for Taiwanese noodle after all the walking. Drove around Melaka so much during the process of locating the place, we had practically went around the whole state within a day.
As we failed to locate a beach with nice sunset as the place had been taken over by construction companies, headed for dinner.
Got some "lou po peng" from the only place that sells em in Mahkota parade and looked for dinner. It was the place called Coffee art cafe that served the best meal outta the whole day. Laksa that finally tasted like real food!
Except for the company, the whole trip was pretty disappointing really.. But, the company is what that really counts after all =)
Just missing those days..

The new GT-R is launched on the 24th! It's out out out out out out!!!!! Call it ugly as you may (because I myself am not too big a fan of the styling) BUT everything in it and on it that drives it, that moves it, had brought the automotive industry to a whole new level! WooYEAH, baby!
PS: I nearly cried when I was watching the press presentation *sob* *I'm so happy..*

Honda to Reveal Two Factory-Modified Accord Coupes at SEMA Show
Honda Factory Performance Accord and Accord Coupe HF-S Concept to make debut
American Honda Motor Co., Inc., today announced that two factory-modified versions of the all-new 2008 Accord Coupe will be revealed at the 2007 SEMA show on October 30, 2007. SEMA attendees will see the first showing of the Honda Factory Performance™ (HFP™) version of the Accord Coupe along with the Accord Coupe HF-S Concept, a specialty concept created by Honda Access America, Inc., Honda's U.S. accessory development team. More details about both vehicles will be released at the SEMA show.
As a dealer installed accessory, Honda's in-house HFP products carry the same 3-year/36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty as the rest of the vehicle, when installed at the time of new vehicle purchase, and are designed to genuinely enhance the ownership experience. American Honda launched its performance accessory program in 2002 with the introduction of a Honda Factory Performance package for the Civic EX Coupe.

Coke Incident
Water + gas frozen into semi solid state goes under extreme pressure..
Water + Gas frozen into semi solid state with a small opening, (eg the cap of a coke bottle) will cause the pressure to exit from the opening..
Yeah, smart mechanical engineers lost all common sense one night had got coke shower..
Note to all readers. Do not freeze sodas!

Somethings are better left alone..
Tonnes of 2 door glories out there. Just fine the way they are. Love the lines, love the speed and handling.. But somehow somewhat our friends in BMW HAD to make things this way:

Welcome the M3 sedan, available in the US in year 2008.. Gosh is it fugly or what?

Delivering still the 414bhp by that monstrous V8 under the hood, this car is claimed to still have the performance of an M3. Only now, it has 4 doors. And apparently more doors means more versatile.. Who the heck came up with such craps?! Some things are better left alone.. After the New MINI clubman, had they not learnt their lesson? Gah. I can't do this anymore..
Signing off.
Ciao.

Was told there's a game of basketball later but was blind folded and guided through the woods before the game. A crazy Cicak was the one I was supposed to trust in this whole blind folding thing. Destination reached, right..
Was hoping for the worse, braising myself to be either thrown in the lake or gang banged. Instead, my "blind fold" was taken off peacefully and there stood a familiar figure. She was there. And a whole surprise barbecue + early birthday celebration was all planned out by her. And for once, all 7 brothers unite in a place, with no one late for the first time. God damn it was amazingly touching.. Ultimately happy. Thank you for all who was there. Thank you baby and the Crazy gecko for everything.. Appreciate every bit of it.
And what's a BBQ party without beer? Booz provided! Thought by my girl who knows me best. =)
Gosh I love you bunch of crazy people.. Brotherly love, mind you. Don't think sideways..
And for my party planner who manage to get the crazy cicak's number rite under my nose without me noticing, I love you! Thank you so very much!
PS: Pardon the latency of the post, lack of internet connection is a real handicap..

Back in Sheffield
The ghost is probably standing by the heater and blowing the fire off whenever we light it up. Blowing cold air into the house making the house colder than the air outside. Damn you Ju-Onn!
Note that the house had yet to have internet connection, that throws me to this place, the Information Commons, My 2nd home.
Damn we'd better settle things fast..

Eye on Malaysia

Right. Just checking a few things off before that 10 days comes to an end.
The eye on Malaysia. The largest portable ferris wheel in the world and the first of its kind to be built on a lake.. An effort by the malaysian tourism board to
The eye is a short 15 mins drive from subang jaya towards bulatan pahang near setapak, if the traffic is on smooth flow. It takes RM15 for an adult or RM8 for children below 12 to get a 12 mins ride on the ferris wheel. And rm120 to get the whole cabin all to yourself.
Conclusion, for those who wants to see a great view, maybe you should take my friend's advise and go for a daytime ride.
Now for some pictures..

10 days away
Anyway!
You've heard it right! 10 more days n this guy here is Kapissh. Gone. Tata. Bye bye. Back to Sheffield. So stop asking me why the heck am I still here alright!
Any suggestions on what else is there to do here in Malaysia?

I don't think I can sleep tonight..
That was among the findings of the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council, which published its full judgement on Friday afternoon following its decision to strip McLaren of their 2007 constructors' points and fine the team $100 million... more
Most of you would had already heard about such news going on about the exchange of information between the Ferrari Team and the McLaren Team. Ron Dennis still claims such information was not used.. I'm biased, so I'm taking his side.
FIA's decision was, utterly cruel I tell you.. How could you expect one to sleep with such news?! HOW?!
Away from home, again.
Reason of travel: To supervise on the air conditioner installation process while sister is working
Duration of stay: 11pm 13/09/2007-4pm 15/09/2007
Sister is now sneezing away with the new aircond installed. Hahahahahahah. Mitsubishi rules!

The Invasion
Anyway! I myself enjoyed the entries made by my lady. =)
Back to it! I'm back! Langkawi is a heaven for drinkers, chocolate, and/or nature lovers. Am in for the first and the last, not so much for the second one.
TIP OFF: It is okay to bring excessive liquor or cigarettes IF you're traveling by ferry from Langkawi.
Not sure bout flights but they custom officers did not check our bags as we were running by for the ferry.. Our group have a tendency to run after transportations.. Train, Ferry, Bus. It's part of the fun. Practice running with weights before joining us on a trip. Lol. However, IF you plan to travel the way we do, get ready to be irritated. By the people that thinks they own the transportation and have no common sense to follow the seat numbers. Next trip to Langkawi, I'll plan ahead and fly.
Main Highlight of the trip: RM3 for a can of 500ml Heineken.
Yes, RM3. That's less than 50 pence a pint for you UK people.
GO CRAZY! Fill your blood with alcohol and make the mosquitoes hop instead of flying. Wash your leg, face, hand, hair, slipper with beer, water the plants, feed it to the crabs, add some rum and go nuts! Who needs water when you've got 3 ringgit Heineken? If only there were more people and a lil bit more time..
Bloody body itching like mad. Curse the sand flies/mosquitoes/whatever that causes the itch. Off to shower and back to the hermits. Ciao!
